Question

I have lots of files in Txt2Tags syntax (http://txt2tags.sourceforge.net/markup.html )

I need to maintain them in that format, for several reasons, without making extra copies for twiki., but I'd also need to have them inside a twiki

Is it possible to hack twiki so it understands that markup? If yes, how? Where to start? How complex of a task it is? that is, is it just changing and modifying one file, or one must modify many different parts of the software?

Environment

You could do that with a plugin. Use one of the callbacks to do the rendering to HTML, possibly the preRenderingHandler(). Use the EmptyPlugin.pm as a template. Possibly take action only if a keyword is found at the beginning of the text, such as: Syntax:Txt2Tags
