Question
Hello Twiki-Community,
All in all Twiki is working great for me,
but I do have a problem with German Umlauts.
Umlauts are working fine in "normal" topic text. Umlauts included in "verbatim"-tags work fine too in the "normal" Twiki-Editor. But if I open and then save the topic with the WYSIWYG-Editor, the Umlauts in the "verbatim"-paragraph get wrecked (while Umlauts outside the "verbatim"-tags remain correct).
The twiki warning log doesn´t show any error.
Any ideas, how to fix this?? It would be great if anybody could help me!!
My Configuration: TWiki Release 4.0.4 (no additional Plugins; all installed Plugins have been included in the Twiki release), language settings: please see attached "configure"
Because of other circumstances the Linux server has to use the locale LC_ALL="de_DE.UTF-8"

I don't know how to fix it off the top of my head. The
WysiwygPlugin has never supported UTF-8, so I haven't researched the problem. If you want to get it to work with UTF-8 (or any other non-7-bit character sets) then a lot of testing and development is required, and I'm sorry, I'm not going to be doing it unless someone pays me to.
