We were only a few, some of the others are known to be busy at WikiSym 2007. There has been no invitation on the mailing list this time, but the topic for today already existed, so we decided we could perform a meeting as well

Action Item Review

We thoroughly went through all action items of the previous meeting. All zero of them

1. Review Urgent Bugs

• Desired outcome: Find owners to fix urgent bugs
• See Bugs:ReleaseBlockers

• KoenMartens intents to have a look at Bugs:Item4774 (over which he had stumbled as well)

2. Coordinate TWiki Release 4.2

• Desired outcome: Decide on tentative dates for rc1 and production release; identify and assign action items

• Code freeze: 2007-09-20 for TWikiRelease04x02 branch on SVN
• Beta 1 release: 2007-09-20
• Beta 2 release: 2007-10-01
• Beta 3 release: 2007-10-24 (Sven's working on the user bugs atm)
• String freeze date: String updates should be limited to absolute necessary. TMCE and Save and Continue as already accepted.
  • Final string freeze is at RC1
• RC 1 release: 2007-10-?? (best case)
• Production release: 2007-10-?? (best case)

Being a bit short of regulars (especially those who contributed most of the testing and bug fixing activity recently) we did not decide on any dates. However, the fraction of not-so-nerds brought some discussion and insight about the quality of installation docs.

Action Items

CarloSchulz will open a new bug item about the installation docs, and the others promised to help. Started at #twiki after the meeting.
