NavbarManagementTool

MegaTWiki currently allows the user (via the UserToolBox) to add or remove topics from the folder display on the sidebar.

Reasoning, Implications, and Implementation to follow...

Looks interesting - unfortunately, 'sidebar' is already used for MozillaSidebar, InternetExplorerSidebar and OperaSidebar. Initially I thought you were managing those, but of course you are managing a navigation bar managed by MegaTWiki. So it would be good to come up with another term for this (maybe 'Navbar' or 'Toolbar'?)

Ideally, the tools/links generated in this navbar could also be used to populate a browser sidebar - the only drawback of the latter is that it is less controllable by the TWiki site, but that can also be an advantage as it lets the user call up the sidebar even when navigating other sites. See MozillaSidebar for some discussion. (Incidentally, InternetExplorerSidebar no longer requires registry edits, though I'm sure Sun is not very interested in this smile )

Heh, I couldn't say what Sun's interested in (actually I'm bound by contract not to, but that's besides the point).

Yes, Navbar would be more appropriate. Alas, I don't have permission to rename this topic frown .

Renamed to Navbar... smile

Thanks!

Updated the UserToolBox to reflect the change from sidebar to navbar...
