My request assumes a subweb feature similar to the MegaTWiki topic with the addition of the ability to create a standard set of topics all based on their own template and all properly linked together. Envision a form to start a new project and after filling out a few fields, a new subweb is created with a whole set of project specific topics already in it.

Features Desired

  • I would like a Process topic that sequences the project and links to each of the project deliverables.
  • I would like a status topic that searches the subweb for values from a custom WebForm and returns a table showing the form values for topic/document name, completion status, owner, approval status, etc.
  • Each deliverable topic would have a link back to a different training web topic on how to create the deliverable.
  • Based on the deliverable, some would contain the content directly in the topic while others would use attachments to external files.
  • Project Team members would set WebNotify on the client subweb.

Some other Considerations

  • I would like the topics to automatically include the client name in the topic name.
  • I would include all of these subwebs in a client web and have some searches available at the client web level. (example: show me all of the approved design specs across all clients)
  • I would like to include a status report standard at the client subweb level and be able to search for status information across the various client subwebs at the higher client web level.
    • Perhaps this could be done with a different WebForm for each client subweb status topic.
