I'll try to explain myself:

• an AppointmentBook topic which
  • lists all topics ending with Appointment
  • includes a form for making new Appointment topics
• a NewAppointmentTemplate topic
• a NewAppointmentForm topic which
  • has a date (mmd/dd/yyyy) and a time (hh)
  • has a list of subscribers
• once a new Appointment topic has been created, people can subscribe to it
• a appointmentnotify script
  • for all Appointment ending topics the script reviews the date & time of the appointment and if it matches date/time execution of the script, it sends a reminder email to the Appointment subscribers
  • the script has an hourly schedule at crontab

What do you think about it? I'd like to start the development but I'm a Linux/Perl/TWiki newbie so I don't know where to start from. It could be developed as a Plugin?
