Are there really too many changed files in this update to provide just changed files? I just went through a lengthy process of manually comparing all files just last week for 4.2.1. I'm not terribly excited about doing the same again this week.

Has the patch for double extensions on TOC entries been added to this update?

I generated a changed files list: (see below)
Generated by taking a diff between the 4.2.1 tag and my checkout area, so may not be 100% accurate (files may have been added that are not listed here).

David, are you referring to TWikibug:Item1607? If yes, this has not (yet) been addressed, but I attached a preliminary workaround ("works for me").

I diffed the 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 tgz archives yesterday and took the freedom to update Crawford's list. Four files missing from 4.2.1 have been added: fi.po, uk.po, VarEDITACTION.txt and VarEDITACTION.txt,v. The attached archive (patch-421-422.zip) contains a patch file generated from the archives and the forementioned new files.

In DownloadTWiki, it says "we have provided upgrade packages where the most common tailored files are omitted." Maybe I'm especially dull, but I cannot find these "upgrade packages" anywhere. Could some kind soul please point them out to me?

If you are in a hurry you can apply the update package in TWikiRelease04x02x01, download the TWikiRelease04x02x02 package and copy only the changed files identified by MarkusUeberall (see list in post above.)

Markus, not 1607. The bug I'm referring to is Item5176 _%SCRIPTSUFFIX is added twice in TOC links._ The issue is also reported at TOCAnchorLinksDoubleCGI and TOCDoublesSuffixOnWindows. There is a note in the support topic that says, "Known TWikibug:Item5176, will be fixed in TWiki 4.2.1. Apply patch in the bug item page." The patch actually does fix the bug, but upon update to 4.2.1, the patch was broken and had to be reapplied.

Item5176 was simply never merged to TWikiRelease04x02 branch by the developers and worse - he closed the bug report. Adding a comment to a closed bug report has 99% chance to be missed. Also reopen a report or create a new if a fix is not acceptable.

I have done the merge now for a 4.2.3
