Motivation

The topic create (edit/save) cycle ignores any meta preferences that might be contained in the template topic.

If you have defined meta preferences in the template, these do not show up in the finally created topic.

Description and Documentation

Enhance the Edit and Save to copy the meta preferences from the template topic: in edit, extract the meta preferences from the template and pass to the save script. In save, restore them into the meta data so that they are properly saved out to the topic.

Requires 3 lines to be added to Edit.pm, 3 lines added to Save.pm, and one lined added to edit.tmpl.

I have this working for a while in 4.3.1.
