Bug: Webname.WebHome does not show label with name of web
Some time ago we enhanced
WikiWord links to show the name of the web instead of just "WebHome" when you write "Otherweb.WebHome".
This new bug should be fixed for
CairoRelease.

Follow up
Arthur, I changed back the "should render" from
Sandbox.WebHome to
Sandbox. Some time ago we introduced the exception to the rule that WebHome is excluded in the link label since it is the root of a web. "Sandbox" reads more natural then "Sandbox.WebHome".

and on later discussion we determined that that exception was bad as it caused topics to render differnetly form the consistent way that users expected (and even works for menu topics) so this exception was removed as unsiutable for the core twiki

I am not aware of the later discussion. Where was that? If we revert the spec we have to fix many links in the TWiki doc and other webs at TWiki.org. In addition, I'd need to scan 40K pages at my daytime job.
- although I can symapthise, thats one of those things that have & conatinue to happen to all of us, when bad decisions are reversed (i'd suggest as Colas did, that a plugin should let you continue to have this functionality) -- SD (the discussion should be on the feature's topic)

Found the feature,
LinksToWebHomeShowWebName.
Sven, it was in the core code for over one year, this after many "yes" votes, no "no" votes, and a few alternative suggestions. All docs in the TWiki web since then assume this syntax. Users do have control over the link label with the double square brackets. I do not know what has been discussed in IRC, it has not been carried forward to Codev.
To avoid confusion I will restore this feature. If there are strong opinions on this we can address it in Dakar.
