- Wiki-thicket
- A wiki inwhich the threads of discussions have devolved into a tangled, inpenetrable mess. Usually the result of conventions for structuring topics being ignored or the formative discipline of refractoring neglected. A symptom is that new ideas have difficulty raising above the background noise. In severe cases, can cause total wiki-paralysis (technical term for going nowhere fast). May require radical cures such as slash and burn refractoring or moving on to new ground and starting over.

Heheh. Thanks Lynnwood. It's nice when humour and truth coincide. I've been tempted to start some slash and burn refactoring lately, and now I have the words to define (and justify!) it. : )

I was also thinking that we could enhance standard "support" pages: for
PageName we have
PageNameDev for discussion, we could add
PageNameFlames for flames

and just move flames there.
