My Progress

Business Management

• Migration from Infor MAPICS to Altivity ACCTivate!
  • Installed ACCTivate clients and QuickBooks Enterprise clients
  • Setup user accounts in practice & live companies
  • Setup Crystal Reports for custom report creation
  • Attended ACCTivate! training for Intermediate Custom Reports
  • Attended ACCTivate! training for Advanced Custom Reports

Anti-Virus

• Migration from AVG Anti-Virus to Sunbelt Software VIPRE Enterprise
  • Installed version 3.1.x on Windows 2000 Pro SP4
  • Deployed Agent to workstations and servers
  • Setup VIPRE reports for Agent list, System messages, & Threat severity

Network Graphing

• Implemented a Cacti system for network graphing. Uses RRDTool's functionality.
  • Tested Cacti appliance for Linux
  • Installed and configured Cacti on Windows XP using MySQL and PHP
  • Installed Exchange 2003 scripts, including Database size graph
  • Created Templates for graphing color printer supplies
  • Updated Router and hub graphs to display port & host info

Development

• Setup a Microsoft BizTalk server for EDI migration testing
• Installed GroundWork MCE 5.3 on Fedora appliance for testing

System Monitoring

• Installed GroundWork Monitor Open Source for IT monitoring. Frontend for Nagios.
  • Configured notification services for servers
  • Configured notification services for printers using check_hpjd
  • Installed NRPE NT (Nagios Remote Plugin Executable) for monitoring specific Windows status checks
  • Configured notification services for hubs, router, firewall
  • Installed MRTG (Multi Router Traffic Grapher) for monitoring network traffic
  • Configured notification serviecs for wireless access points
  • Downloaded SendPage and required software for testing

System Recovery

• Setup a Virtual Machine environment for IT System Recovery testing
  • Installed VMware Importer on machine running VMware server
  • Installed Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery 6.5 on test workstation. Created image and imported to VMware.

HelpDesk

• Implemented a HelpDesk/Task Management system for testing
  • Installed OneOrZero Open Source Task Management and Help Desk System on 2000 Server using MySQL & PHP
  • Rolled out HelpDesk to all users
  • Created Virtual machine copy of HelpDesk for development/testing

TWiki Related

• Implemented a TWiki on Linux OS (with VMware pre-built)
  • Installed TWiki 4.0.4 using VMWare on Debian (GNU/Linux) OS
  • Setup WebNotify and configured outgoing mail
  • Installed the SubscribeAddOn plugin - allows users to easily subscribe to topic update notifications

• Identify systems and services that will be phased out with the deployment of a new ERP/EDI system.
• Create and update custom reports for all departments based on business needs.

IT Monitoring

• Configure a VM to test the fuctionality of GroundWork Monitor Community Edition 5.3
