Experience Details

Nikhil is currently working as Sr. Test Lead while taking the role of a senior test delivery manger for Bangalore based Aztec Software (http://itest.aztecsoft.com/) , a CMMi Level 5 and a product engineering company which has Microsoft’s preferred vendor status. He is involved in delivery management from proposal through delivery up to customer success. His current management portfolio is encompassing testing engagements of few off-shore outsourced products from worlds leading ISVs that targets market segment sized about a billion. Nikhil, to his credit has the launch of the Microsoft CRM v3 and v3i after its successful QA pass. The product is expected to create the annual revenue of $450 million this year. Please read ahead in Project Work section to know more about his role here.

At Aztec Nikhil has been currently implementing test plans for medium size enterprise applications for global ISVs. In his career of 16 years, he has worked in various roles in software engineering in multiple organizations, and has evolved into a competent technical leader. He holds a good academic background and has worked with reputed organizations including IBM and C-DAC. Prior to Aztec-Disha, Nikhil has also worked as Project Manager in the role of Product Manager for a Silicon Valley R&D organization Vertex Logic. Before that he has been actively involved in business delivery models on top-notch industrial assignment at IBM, where he contributed in technology implementations and assisted global delivery account of top credit card supplier in the US. The off-shore development and outsourcing model generated a $10 million account. Ramping up sub-projects through managing a pool of two hundred odd IT professionals, placing the resources to beat the lateral Indian competition and aggressively driving the recruitment pipeline were the key challenges faced there.

At the beginning of his career that he started with four year long contribution to Center for Development of Advanced Computing, the computing pride for India, as a Project Associate, in GIST group, the group that pioneered the delivery of embedded system implementation for Indian as well as South-East Asian languages to bring them in the world of computing. The language training utility he conceptualized and created caused 60% increase in the user base. Following this, over a period of three years, he delivered various network projects to Forbes Marshal, a good enterprise example of developed company in the developing country like India, for its Enterprise Network comprised of distributed head-office, multiple manufacturing sites, managerial houses, county-wide branches, and globe-wide principle MNCs in the US, UK and Japan. There was growth of 20% in the turnover while giving the ROI in just less than a year.
