Nov29 Alcohol. The wine's are being recommended by Heinrich's wife and researched by Mark. We will be buying from Binny's on 53rd if they have everything.

Information about Food and Drink

Servers: Andrew, Yin, Sang, Ho Ling

We will be catering from De Colores restaurant. It is a 1 year old mexican restaurant in ~Pilsen that was amazing when a few of us tried it on Saturday. They are not on the catering list but the owner has gauranteed not to exceed $3500. So the max we will be spending for food is $3700

Information about the food and beverages last year provided by Nicole Fields (for reference):
~* ordered Indian food from Cuisine of India in Naperville for 300 people, included appetizers, main courses and dessert, costed $3025
~* Ida Noyes has a list of preferred caterers, it was an extra 200 bucks if they used someone not on their list
~* non-alcoholic beverages from Wal-Mart: two cases of sparkling grape juice (a case is 12 750 mL bottles), 7 packs of water (24 bottles each), 16 packs of juice (6 bottles each), 10 boxes of Coke/Pepsi (12 cans each), 7 boxes of Diet Coke/Pepsi (12 cans each), 7 boxes of Sprite/7-Up (12 cans each) and 8 boxes of Nestea/Hawaiian Punch (12 cans each)
~* leftover: some food (but not a lot), a handful of boxes of soda, a ton of leftover sparkling grape juice, some leftover wine (probably less than a case), a ton of leftover beer
~* suggestions from Nicole: except for maybe having less grape juice, keep the amount of food and beverages unchanged

About alcohol
a. Pat Plitt needs the invoice from the vendor 2~3 weeks before delivery in order to generate the check on time.
b. The university requires training and documentation for serving alcohol. Details in second forwarded conversation below.
c. The event is tax-exempt. See attached "tax exemption" letter and present it to vendor upon ordering.
d. Pat Plitt has many bottle openers. Ida Noyes should supply buckets and tubs for cooling drinks.
e. Never have enough ice. Get lots and lots and lots. Put the bags out on the terrace they won't melt.
f. Need 4 graduate students (who do not act) to serve alcohol. Online training for serving alcohol is strongly recommended (take ~15 minutes).
