I was informed about TWiki by a friend at Adobe. When he demoed it for me, I knew this was what my department (Engineering Test Services) needed. We are a QA group, and therefore are responsible for
lots of test documentation, which of course changes by the minute.
Initially, I was uncertain that my group would embrace it, but I was shocked at how quickly folks "got it" and began to contribute. That was around February or March, 2002. Now it's indespensible. It's seen us through 3 projects so far, with excellent results. Most of the other departments we interact with rely on our Twiki deployment to keep them informed of our status and progress. They love it for that.
A couple of other departments have expressed interest in creating their own webs, but have been slower to adopt. In time I believe they'll embrace it fully. I think the cosmetic improvements of a different skin might make converts of the fence-sitters. I'm looking forward to the Bejing release for that and other fixes/enhancements.
