DiggPagePlugin
Hi - love Twiki, am new user with a plugin idea. How about a plugin that allowed user "digging" of a page (like digg.com) and a summary page of the most dugg pages? This would help users bump up pages as they browse. It could allow bumping could be for high relevancy, low relevancy, appropriateness, spam, etc. - there could be multi-dimensional scores for user opinion on a page.

How does that differ from the tag vote feature of the
TagMePlugin?

With TagMe you can only bump up (digg), not bump down (undigg).

Is there a way to emulate the very simple interface of Digg with an existing plug-in like
TagMe?

with tagme, aren't you bumping up the individual tags, as opposed to digg-style would bump up the actual topic pages?

Why not borrow
TagMePlugin technology and do a special
DiggPagePlugin? But ensure you take the latest code from SVN cause Arthur did some interface enhancements if I remember correct.

I was thinking of something similar a while back, something to give a page an 'I like it' score. The plan was to have an ideas web, where you can submit ideas, and have a continuous voting system. If someone likes the idea, they click on the 'I like it' button. There would then be a couple of searches on the home page, one listed by the amount of votes, another by new or recently voted ideas.
A plugin like this would be pretty easy to implement, however we have no plans to do it in the immediate future, and I will be leaving my work in a few months to go back to university (im on work experience).
If I do get the go ahead to create this plugin, I should be able to create it in a way that will allow the digg style of voting as well (i.e. digg and undigg), and will obviously be able to contribute this back.
