An advanced plugable sectional edit system.
Its currently in development, but thus far is proving to be extremly reliable. Works in conjunction with
JSPopupPlugin and
ComponentEditPlugin.
see:
http://svn.twiki.org/svn/twiki/trunk/InlineEditPlugin/
WARNING: while it works, and will continue to do so, the dependancies and internal architecture is still developing rapidly.

Sven, this sounds promising. Could you share in some words on the features?

Wow, reading
http://svn.twiki.org/svn/twiki/trunk/InlineEditPlugin/data/TWiki/InlineEditPlugin.txt
, this sounds like it could be a really powerful plugin to make TWiki and applications more user-friendly. I'm really looking forward to this!

I can't find the plugin:
ComponentEditPlugin
Is this still needed?

I do not know the dependency; am not familiar with this plugin. You can find the
ComponentEditPlugin in Subversion at
SVN:twikiplugins/ComponentEditPlugin/

MMM, sorry, I've had to stop work on this, due to lack of sponsorship, and because i'm focusing on things that do put food on the table. Also note that the version in svn is very different from the released one, to the point where its broken

because I was re-developing it with the use of JSUnit testing.
I still believe that small, localised, context aware editors are the right approach for TWiki - allowing a mini-IDE for developing TWiki Markup Applications, sectional prose editing with hints and annotations (like post-its), spreadsheet editors, with the ability to show you the results, all without a noticable round trip to edit.
