Development discussion for SmiliesPlugin

I would like to turn off the plugin on a per-user basis. I'm having the same problem
VickiBrown described (on 16 Dec 2004, heh). Little help here?

I think for Cairo codebase it is possible with a
DISABLEDPLUGINS = SmiliesPlugin
setting in the user home page. Not sure if there is a way in Dakar though.

ChuckBiggs added :2thumbs: (:2thumbs:) and  (). We should take this back into the release.

Also, the Plugin topic here has still the old Cairo version. It needs to be updated (Cairo/Dakar compatible.)

isn't rendered correctly in the
%PLUGINDESCRIPTIONS%
on
InstalledPlugins cause there has been a slight modification in Dakars "word end" detection algorithm (due to performance considerations (if I remember correct)).

On our TWiki I have added the LED icons (red, yellow, green) from the Twiki graphics to the smilies list. In business scenarios those traffic lights are rather used than smilies. Using those traffic lights by typing
:red:
for example has become very useful in our company - it also makes the usage of those icons with radio buttons very easy.
That's why I would like to ask if you could add those icons to the current standard list.

Sounds good. I'll add these to the rules.
Please bring other suggestions that benefit the user community! This includes also also feature proposals for core TWiki,
TWikiFeatureProposals.

This is now done, see
