Question

I am getting the following error message. -- During save of TWiki an error was found by the version control system. Please notify your TWiki administrator.

RCS: failed to create file /var/www/html/data/TWiki/WebHome.txt: Permission denied

Go back in your browser and save your changes locally

I have tried permissions all over the place.... I seem to missing something

Have you read SettingFileAccessRightsLinuxUnix? What are your current permissions and ownership settings for /var/www/html/data/TWiki/?

Yes i have read that doc and ran the commands as recommended. My permissions are: drwxr-xr-x 2 apache apache 36864 2008-07-26 09:16 TWiki Thanks

I have also verified I do have a Apache group and an Apache user

I have now also found this error in my apache logs. It happens at the same time the error happens in the browser. [Tue Jul 29 08:00:31 2008] [error] [client 172.22.22.28] Unquoted string "lib" may clash with future reserved word at LocalLib.cfg line 26., referer: http://172.22.22.45/bin/edit/Main/WebHome?t=1217343617

I ran into the same problem with access control. Don't know if it helps, but I had to add my domain name minus the 'www' to PermittedRedirectHostUrls since it is accessible with and without the www.
