Question

After editing and saving an action, the page stays locked for 1 hour. We have our TWiki configured to release the lock by default but the ActionTrackerPlugin ignores this setting.

The work around is to edit the action again and cancel the edit, which releases the lock.

Can the plugin be changed to use the RELEASEEDITLOCKCHECKBOX setting in TWikiPreferences?

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease02Sep2004

Web server: Apache/2.0.51 (Fedora)
Perl version: 5.8.3

Answer

It could; but I wasn't planning to, because locks can always be broken as a workaround, and the whole locking scheme has been reworked for DakarRelease.
