Question
Hello,
We currently use Twiki 4.1.2 and most users use the Kupu editor. I would like to upgrade us, and am testing out 4.23 with
TinyMCE. I really like a lot of the features of Tiny MCE, and the look and feel is very nice.
But the users often use the Kupu image insert feature, where you browse to select a file, and when you upload it, a link to it is automatically inserted (the image just "appears" in the document)
With
TinyMCE, I know they will not like the image insert feature - they will upload the image file, then before they can insert it, they'll need to close the Insert Image window, and reopen it so the newly uploaded file is available in the dropdown box to insert.
I'm looking at
http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/examples/full.php
and have found an image inserter I would like to use if possible -- on this example page it's the last button - Insert Image (not the standard Insert/Edit button). As far as I can tell, it might be the imagemanager plugin.
Does anyone know if it would be possible to make this work with
TinyMCE in Twiki, if I download the plugin files? Or would it be a losing battle, if I don't want to mess around with the code too much?
Or maybe this will be part of the standard, when the Twiki
TinyMCE plugin is updated to use the latest version of Tiny MCE?
I got some information on the twiki irc channel, that it is probably not possible .. but I thought I would post it here as well, in case anyone has some better news for me
Thanks!
Kathy
