Is there a way to allow anyone to view the WebIndex and WebChanges view whilst requiring authentication for all other pages? It seems that WEB permissions always override.Environment

Answer
It is a bug in the current implementation: Reading the pages for fetching authentication info is submitted to the same authentication rules as reading pages. If you protect a web, you protect reading the topic even to check its permissions. This currently being discussed. please see (or even contribute : -) to: -- ColasNahaboo - 14 Oct 2003
