Question

Hi all,

How can I control the access to not edit selected twiki webpages.

For Eg, I have created webs ABC. The ABC has many topics and webpages in it. I want to lock the main pages of webs ABC to view only and to edit by twikiadmin group and not to any other user in the group?

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04x00x04
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: solaris8
Web server: apache1.31
Perl version: 5.6.1
Client OS: Windowsxp
Web Browser: IE
Categories: Authentication

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

Add this setting to the topics for which you want to restrict access:

   * Set ALLOWTOPICCHANGE = %MAINWEB%.TWikiAdminGroup

The recommended practice is to add this using the "topic preference" setting under "More topic actions." You can also put it in the body of the topic and hide it as an html comment.

For more information on restricting access to topics, see TWikiAccessControl.
