Question

Someone on my TWiki tried to move an attachment to the Trash.TrashAttachments file and got the following:

http://.../twiki/bin/oops/Projects/ProductLaunchOSSProcessReview?template=oopsaccessrename opps "You do not have permission to rename topic ProductLaunchOSSProcessReview.

I have checked the ALLOWTOPICRENAME and the ALLOWWEBRENAME for both webs and the user does have access to do this.

I as an ADMIN person had no problems doing it. Can you please explain what access checks are done in the rename code. I looked inside the rename perl and nothing stands out that might through this error.

Answer

Maybe you have some DENY{TOPIC,WEB}RENAME settings lurking somewhere? Can't think of much else, but Google:ALLOWWEBRENAME has some relevant topics. I haven't really looked at this code, maybe someone else can help. TWikiAccessControl should describe how the checks work.
