Question

We have cases whereby files uploaded from a Windows network file system sometimes include the full path name

Example: on attaching a file like

\\MyDomain.ch\path\path\path\file.jpg

the file is then stored as this (with the whole path name) in the pub directory. Although the file is visible and usable it does make for an ugly filename and the IE browser does have problems handling it.

Is there a method to configure TWiki in order to not include the full path in the filename?

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04x00x04
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: RH linux 7.3
Web server: Apache
Perl version: 5.8
Client OS: Windows, Linux
Web Browser: IE, Firefox
Categories: Fatal error

Fixed with Hotfix 4.0.4-4

Bugs:Item2859 - Attachments are being named the full path name instead of the filename only when uploading from Internet Explorer (introduced by Hotfix 3)
