Question
[ My apologies if this is a duplicate. I just looked in the
SupportStatus categories, and didn't see my question listed in any of them. ]
Is there anyway to create a subweb? I.e. something like Twiki.Web1.Web2? It's really be helpful for my group if we could structure things in a hierarchy deeper than one level.
I tried searching around the documentation, and it seemed like
HierarchicallyNestedTwikiWebs
would solve my problem. I contacted Pete Nixon and he let me know it looks like they weren't rolled into the core, but that
WebForms might solve my problem. I spent some more time surfing about them, but they don't seem to actually accomplish it.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks!

I have a vague recollection that if you put a subdirectory under an existing web, it
might work as a subweb. If you have a TWiki installed you might want to try it and see what happens.
In addition, there are quite a few ways of organizing pages that may provide some of the functionality you are looking for.
One is via the bread crumb trail (parent/child pages). Watch the top of TWiki pages as you surf.
Another is a naming convention, with a prefix, suffix, or embedded key word, and then an "embedded search". See the
AbiWord FAQ
for an example.

See the
KoalaSkin which provides this feature as navigation & search aids without needing to modify the TWiki core... You can try it live at

Not sure if this answers your question: At work we have over 10K page changes per month and 100 webs. We do not have a need for sub webs. However we rely a lot on
TWikiForms to organize content, and on the topic parenting feature with
BreadCrumbs to organize topics hierarchically within a web.
For representing structure see
TreePlugin,
TouchGraphAddOn,
WebDOTPlugin,
WebMap.
