Question

The doc states that if WYSIWYG is enabled in Freetown then the Edit button defaults to WYSIWYG and the raw edit link appears at the bottom.

Can one change this behaviour?

Our users are used to having raw edit by default but some users like the WYSIWYG. Therefore I would like to keep the Edinburgh layout.

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04x02x01
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: RH
Web server: apache
Perl version: 5.8.5
Client OS: WinXP, Mac, Linux
Web Browser: IE, Firefox, Safari
Categories: Skin

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

See TWikiRawEditDefault04x02. Of course now your fans of WYSIWYG will complain that they want it to be the default smile

P.S. in case any developers see this, it would be nice to have a user preference variable for choosing the default editor.

P.P.S. with the release of TWiki 4.2.1, I anticipate this will become a FAQ.
