Question
I created a form (and template) with 10 fields to store data formatted. Now I'd like to use the same form to search the Topics. Therefore i need to create different drop-down boxes wich contain the values of the formfields. Some formfields are free text, so it shoud search in the formfield for the text which is typed in. If no text is typed in, or no value was selected in a drop-down field, these fields should be ignored in the search. I tried to solve my problem by reading the
SearchPatternCookbook, but I didn't found a solution.

If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.
As far as I can say, you'd need to create the search form by manually writing HTML. An example for such a thing can be found at
Sandbox.SearchBookTitles, where the first row (the table headers) are search fields for some of the form fields.
