Question

Forms that I add to topics keep disappearing. I could have sworn I saw this problem mentioned before but can't seem to find it. In the edit view, I "Add Form" and it shows up fine in preview but when I save it, the form disappears. If I go back in to edit again, the form is not active. Has anyone seen this problem?

Later note: I've been going over and over my set up and can't find anything that would cause this. Here's the link to my "test environment" page. Not too much out of the ordinary about how I set twiki up. I did implement wrap-cgi on the twiki bin folder. Could that somehow be related?

I have discovered the log shows the following error each time I edit a page: File does not exist: /home/skyloom/public_html/twiki/401.shtml

ANY suggestions at all about directions to go with this are appreciated since I'm pretty much stumped right now and I use forms alot on my site.

  • TWiki version: Dec02Beta
  • Perl version: 5
  • Web server & version: Apache
  • Server OS: Linux
  • Web browser & version: Mozilla
  • Client OS: Mac OS

Still haven't figured this problem out. It appears to me that the problem has something to do with a script error (or failure) in changing the topic Meta data. Does that give anyone a hint as to where I might look for the source of the problem? Thanks again for ANY suggestions!

Answer

I'd delighted to report that this problem cleared up after I upgraded to the 01 Feb 2003 TWiki release!
