Question

I have a problem where my web statistics are being distorted by the WebRSS topic. Specifically, my web statistics page will show 146 views on the WebHome, but almost two thousand for the WebRSS topic. I'm trying to understand the process by which the WebRSS topic information is tabulated for the web statistics. We also use a Google Search Appliance to crawl and index all of our TWiki content, and I was wondering if this issue could be caused by the way the GSA crawls certain pages (should we include WebRSS in our robots.txt file?).

These are probably users who monitor content with an RSS reader. Look in the apache logs to find out who it is, ask them to slow down on RSS requests to once every 30 min or so.
