Question

I've just upgraded Twiki to 4.0.5 from a Sept 04 version. After running the update script, deleting the old Templates, Twiki & Main webs and locale directory and replacing with the new version etc I managed to get Twiki working however there are still some issues which affect old webs.

  1. The sidebar is plain. There is none of the nice colored squares and icons I get in the Main and Twiki webs.
  2. The font is slightly larger on the old webs.
  3. The Login/logout items are missing from the sidebar of the old webs.
  4. No favicon on old webs (I think I could fix this though!).

Is there any way I can get the old webs to more completely take on the look of the latest version Twiki?

Thanks & regards.

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

Copy the WebLeftBar from the Main or TWiki web into your other web's WebLeftBar. First backup your customized contents and copy that back into the updated left bars.

Look also at WebPreferences of the _default web. Every web has a local logo.gif and favicon.ico. You can overload that in Main.TWikiPreferences, using FAVICON.
