Question

I noticed that twiki.org does not have Edit,Attach, etc. controls on the homepage, but other pages in TWiki and Main webs do have edit controls. How was this done?

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04x00x02
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: Linux
Web server: Apache
Perl version: 5.8.3
Client OS: MacOSX
Web Browser: Firefox 1.5

Answer

The twiki.org homepage is a static html page and not rendered by TWiki. But you can hide control buttons - if you are using pattern skin (default). Look at PatternSkinCustomization#I_want_to_hide_the_edit_buttons that achieves a similar effect.
