Question

hi,

I've installed TWiki on a site hosted by some ISP. Now I have purchased a new hosting plan with some other ISP, and want to move my existing Twiki installation to the new site.

I tried to zip all the files of installation dir. to a zip file, but not all the flies are accessible. because some runtime and config files are created by the server and I don't have permissions for them...

How can I still move my entire TWiki to other site, despite such restrictions?

Environment

TWiki version: TWikiRelease04x01x01
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS: Linux
Web server: Apache
Perl version: 5.6
Client OS: WinXP
Web Browser: Firefox
Categories: Hosting, Installation, Permissions

Omar, thats a doozy, if you dont' have access to files (like the topics) that were created by the server, then you will need to ask your ISP to grant you access to them. Its a simple permission thing for them todo.

Most hosting systems set the web server to use a group that you are in too, so that this problem does not arise, but, heck, its not a perfect world smile
