Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

Se this in the WebPreferences topic of every web:

   * Set DENYWEBCHANGE = Main.TWikiGuest

Read the details at TWikiAccessControl.

While this will prevent the TWikiGuest from being able to edit, it will cause users who are not authenticated to get an "access denied" message which might not be what you intend. I have posted a similar question here; how do you set permissions so that instead of having access denied, the user will be prompted to login? In my work twiki, I have created a group that all users are in and then ALLOWWEBCHANGE for that group...but this is impractical for a public web where new users will be registering and I do not have time to manually add them to a group.
