Question

Hi, I installed twiki using TWikiVMDebianStable on Windows XP and successfully reached the Main page in the browser yesterday. Today when I started the VM player, I could not load the Main using http://twiki-vm/. I get the error "cannot display webpage"

Does anyone know the reason for this error? Can someone help me resolve?

Thank you. Shilpa

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

can you ping twiki-vm ? if not, log into the vm as root, and run ifconfig this should tell you the IP address that was assigned to the vm, and you Should be able to connect to your twiki using that.

if those steps are ok, then there's probably an issue with the WINS settings. If not, tell us more smile
