Question

Hi,

Is there a way to search across multiple wikis (for example, I enter a search term and the search results are returned from both the A TWiki server and the B TWiki server?)

This might need to deploy TWiki in a distribution way?

If yes, how could we do that?

Thanks!

Environment

TWiki version: unspecified
TWiki plugins: DefaultPlugin, EmptyPlugin, InterwikiPlugin
Server OS:
Web server:
Perl version:
Client OS:

Answer

ALERT! If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.

There is no direct solution, but you can approach this in several ways:

  • Transpose the TWiki webs of A TWiki into B TWiki over NFS with symbolic links (as read only content). Search and browse content of both TWikis in B TWiki.
  • Index both TWikis with a search engine. See Tag:search. Contact me if you need a Google search appliance solution.
