Question

Well, I have updated this question a touch due to a bit more research on KupuEditorAddOn.

I think this kupu add-on has enormous potential.

Primarily, I find that it

  • adds newlines to every line in <verbatim> blocks, every edit
  • convers all tables that are 'touched' in editing to HTML, rather than wiki form
  • sometimes manages to completely knacker headings "--- + heading?" was the example I had.
  • if you 'add' a table at the beginning of the document, you are unable to insert text before the table, you have to delete the table and insert the text then the table.

Now, I am not sure if all these problems come down to the HTML to Wiki transformation or are problems in kupu itself.

I am happy enough to try and assist if I can, I know a little perl (enough to get me in trouble)

I appologise if this has been asked elsewhere but I could not see the answered questions due to server errors.

Answer

The issue with the table at the beginning of the document is a Kupu problem. The others ones are translating issues. HTML to TWikiML Translator is currently [being] rewritten.
