Question

When I unzip (using pszip under Win98SE) the file TWiki20030201.zip I get a \Twiki\bin directory that seems to contain only two files, .htaccess.txt and setlib.cfg , while the manual says there should be another 19, all of them Perl scripts with no extension.

Have I missed a step somewhere?

  • TWiki version:01Feb2003
  • Perl version:5.00503
  • Web server Apache; version: 1.3.27
  • Server OS: freeBSD
  • Web browser IE; version: 5.00
  • Client OS: Win98SE

My ISP informed me that when he unzipped the file there were 22 objects in this directory, and suggested that the problem might be Win98 not displaying files without extension. But Win98 had no trouble finding the copy of testenv that I downloaded from the TWiki site separately, or other files without extensions.

Answer

The fault appears to be in pszip. I have now uninstalled pszip and installed instead ultimatezip, and extracted the missing files successfully.
