Question
I have isnatlled the latest
NatSkin and
NatPlugin.
Changing the SKIN=nat works and my WIKI looks as expected -
NatSkin working.
BUT
When hitting edit (for example on the preferences) I get the text to edit in a window - but no buttons at all.
i.E. No Done, Cancel, Save, etc button.
The "More" switch at the bottom is there and working.
I checked all permissions for templates - looks ok.
Any help appreciated
I did some more tests.
-I checked if it is a user specific problem: Its not - I am member of
WikiAdmin abd it still happens
-Adding &cover=kupu to the edit UR gives me Kupu style
-Adding "Set USEWYSIWYG=on" to Prefefs is not changing the edit functionality

Answer
If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box.
Have you installed all of the other plugins required for
NatSkinPlugin? There are a few others.

I'm having the same problems... strange
--
CarloSchulz - 24 Oct 2007
Ok, problem fixed.
MichaelDaum forgot to list
JqueryPlugin in the dependencies. Install the plugin and the buttons show up.

I will test the missing Plugin tomorrow - in the meantime I have had some progress by setting the SKIN setting to
SKIN = nat,pattern
Alternatively I had written a customized Version of /TWiki/TWikiWebTopicActions where I had ?skin=pattern for the edit action.

I put my upgrade of
BlogPlugin on hold due to some problems I faced (
NatPluginDev was one) and this no Save or Cancel button. I just installed
JQueryPlugin as noted above but my problem still persists. Seems like the installation instruction is wrong in the path to the jquery.js script and too vague on where to include the line in the twiki.tmpl file. I could have a mis-installed
JQueryPlugin, but I still didn't manage to make it work.

I just added th
JQueryPlugin and changed to SKIN=natedit,nat.
I have the edit buttons now !
But there is still an issue:
-The buttons for formating the text or insterting links do work :)
BUT
-The save, cancel buttons do NOT work.
My twiki.tmpl file has the SCRIPT entry right after the other SCRIPT entries near the beginning.
Any ideas

I just did a fresh install of 4.2-beta3 and I am still missing the buttons on edit. All dependencies are installed and also
JQueryPlugin. Is there any course of action recommended for that?
And
OdinGrupe could you please post the
TWikiWebTopicActions you were able to get the Edit with ?skin=pattern? Thanks.

I had some problems with the edit and save buttons as well. I had
NatEditContrib installed and after removal everything worked fine.
--
CarloSchulz - 06 Nov 2007
The edit buttons are missing on my fresh install of 4.2-beta3 as well, with all dependencies installed (as far as I know, and including
JQueryPlugin).

LevienVanZon - 10 Nov 2007
Try the latest versions of the
NatEditContrib,
NatSkin,
NatSkinPlugin. I worked around the reported issue. The packages were missing a dependency on
JQueryPlugin, which they have now.
Some remarks: don't add
natedit or
jquery to the SKIN variable. Make it a
Set SKIN = nat only. Adding
natedit or
jquery is only needed for non-natskins.

I was finally able to test it again:
Installing
JQueryPlugin resolved the issues in my case.
Just in case anyone is interested in the workaround I useed.. I just edited /twiki/bin/view/TWiki/TWikiWebTopicActions and changed it to something like this:
<a href="%SCRIPTURLPATH{"edit"}%/%BASEWEB%/%BASETOPIC%?t=%GMTIME{"$hours$minutes$seconds"}&skin=pattern" title="edit" rel="nofollow">Edit</a>
<a href="%SCRIPTURLPATH{"edit"}%/%BASEWEB%/%BASETOPIC%?t=%GMTIME{"$hours$minutes$seconds"}&cover=kupu" title="WYSIWYG" rel="nofollow">WYSIWYG</a>
<a href="%SCRIPTURLPATH{"view"}%/%BASEWEB%/%BASETOPIC%?t=%GMTIME{"$hours$minutes$seconds"}&cover=print&skin=pattern" title="print" rel="nofollow">Print</a>

I have the same problem. The installation of
JQueryPlugin did not help me. What can I do? I use only "nat" for the SKIN variable.
I do not find the file where I could apply the workaround of Michael. The only subdirectory in /twiki/bin is a directory named "tools".

MarkusSchweitzer - 15 Jan 2008
I have the same problem, probably because the patch "edittoolbar.nat.tmpl-3.0-pre13.patch' failed to apply. I guess it was not updated for
NatSkin 3.00pre17 (2007 11 13) - I use
CaptchaPlugin 1.5-pre4, and all other required plugin are installed and running - Any work around available ?
