Question

As far as I know, there is a Per-Topic template ($scriptname.$topicname.tmpl). I want to know wich is the real usefulness of having a template just for one page (is like having matrix to make just one piece). What I wnt is to provide a way to do the same as my word prosessor, that is, when I want to create a new topic, I want to choose the template and then create this new topic with the template. There is any way to do this? Thanks a lot in advance.
