I am unable to get
RCS working on NT for TWiki. Symptoms include hung server, zombie perl and rlog processes.
RCS seems to want to find all *.txt,v files in an
RCS subdirctory, but TWiki does not seem to be set up to use such. The only thing i've been able to find in
RCS documentation is that if an
RCS dir is there, it will be used, otherwise the ,v files are expected in the same dir as the "base" file.
RCS 5.7 on NT does not do that as far as i've seen. I've otherwise been unable to find any configuration or flag info that would force this as desired.
If you're a Windows user using TWiki successfully with
RCS,
please show me how to fix this! I'm now getting past the point where i'm just playing with TWiki and need to deploy it for use - but if I can't get it to work, i'll have to use some other lesser Wiki software.

Heh, I answer myself.
I don't know if this works yet, but I found a source distribution of
RCS for Windows and it had the following interesting info:

See
WindowsInstallCookbook for details on how to get
RCS working completely on Windows. There is no need to compile from sources any more, just use the
CygWin RCS as per the cookbook.
