Question

When my users register, they their activation email with the verification code. If they click on the confirmation URL (something like http://mywiki/twiki/bin/register.cgi?action=verify;code=UserName.1234567) or enter UserName.1234567 directly in the Wiki site, they get an HTTP 500 error saying that the Website cannot display the page.

At this point, the user thinks the registration is not working and clicks the URL again. This time they get this error: "The activation code UserName.1234567 is invalid. Either the code is not valid, or you have already confirmed your registration using it."

Of course, the reason they get the second error is because the registration did work the first time around, but the user is not aware of this unless he/she looks in his/her inbox for the confirmation email or in the TWikiUsers list.

any reason for the HTTP 500 error message ?

Thanks

Found hint here: VerifyNewUserFails

I had renamed DNS name of the server but omitted to change it using configure.cgi

Thanks
