SID-00105: strange problems with a user

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 4.2.4 Perl version: 5.8.8
Category: CategoryAccessControl Server OS: CentOS 5.2 kernel 2.6.18-92 Last update: 16 years ago

A user can't be listed in UserList though he can log in without problem. His twiki pages are all there, but he can only edit/change things in sandbox. He can't even edit/change his own twiki pages, the permissions on those pages are fine. He can't edit/change his old web either tough the "allows" are clearly set to his account. No other users have this problem. Very strange. Why can this happen? How does UserList work?

Discussion and Answer

Not sure. Check the access control settings of the Main web, defined in the WebPreferences of the Main web. Check the access permissions in the topics settings (via "more topic actions" screen). The UserList is created by a SEARCH, looking for pages in the Main web that have a UserForm.

Workaround in case you do not find the issue: Remove the account and re-register the user.
