Hello!
Can someone redirect me to a tutorial where i can find how to apply patches?
I have cygwin installed with the patch package (at least i see it there when i run the command cygcheck -c) but for some reason when i try to patch smth with this: patch filePatch.patch < fileToBePatched.pm i get that "bash: patch command not found".
I am a starter in the Twiki env. so any suggestion is welcomed.
Thanks!

See
HowToApplyPatch,
PatchGuidelines,

.
On Windows you need to find where cygwin has the patch file.

I know is under cygwin/bin, but i have no clue what is happening. The guidelines were ok but they did not solve my problem.
I am getting still the same error if i :
- move the
FormsAddOn.patch in the twiki/lib dir
- do in the cygwin under the lib root
- and run the suggested commands....
any other suggestions? because it appears that cygwin does not know anything ab the patcher package. thanks!

Something seems to be wrong with the PATH setting of your cygwin environment. Add cygwin/bin to it, or specify a full path to the patch file to execute the command.
