Does anyone know how to add a button to the Tiny MCE editor that lets the user insert a TOC command?
I was trying to figure out how the button to insert an HR works, because I think what I need is similar ...and if I can figure it out, I'd like to add a few custom buttons that our users got used to having in the Kupu editor's "insert standard string" feature
I appreciate any advice
Thanks!

Discussion and Answer
Actually I can see that the HR button is one of the standard Tiny MCE features --
http://wiki.moxiecode.com/index.php/TinyMCE:Control_reference
but maybe there's a way to accomplish putting a button to add the TOC string or other custom string?

This is probably more a TinyMCE question.
Google:tinymce+custom+button
has this for example:
http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/examples/example_20.php
. Please report back here if you find out so that other community can learn.
(BTW, NoNeedToInventCrypticTitles, a descriptive title is just fine.)

The custom button code on the Tiny MCE site looks great & not difficult to implement -- however, it seems to be valid only for Tiny MCE 3 (I think Twiki right now only supports version 2)
The only info I could find on custom buttons for older versions of Tiny MCE is
http://www.deliciousdays.com/tinymcebuttons
- I have not tried it yet but thought I'd post it here in case anyone else wants to

Closing this question after more than 30 days of inactivity. Feel free to reopen if needed. Consider engaging one of the
TWiki consultants if you need timely help. We invite you to
get involved with the community, it is more likely you get community support if you support the open source project!

Just a general comment that questions posted to
TinyMCE's forum about TWiki integration get met with a stand-offish "We don't know anything about TWiki." I think it's in the best interest of the developer of both parties to build a relationship and share, share, share.
