Let us say that these are the details of a user:
USERNAME = jsmith
WIKINAME = JohnSmith
WIKIUSERNAME = Main.JohnSmith
The parameter %USERINFO{...}% gives the other details of a user when the WIKINAME is known.
Is there a way I can find out the WIKINAME (JohnSmith) of a user whose USERNAME (jsmith) is known ?
Background: I use LDAP Contrib in my Twiki installation. The login Id of the users is their USERNAME. Now, given the login id, I want to find out the name of the user (WIKINAME)

Discussion and Answer
In recent TWiki versions you can specify the login name in USERINFO. See
VarUSERINFO.
