SID-00325: Desc: in CGI Setup

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 4.3.1 Perl version: 5.10.0
Category: CategoryInstallation Server OS: Debian Linux Last update: 16 years ago

In the 'TWiki module in @INC path' section of 'CGI Setup' in the configuration settings screen, reference to 'Desc:' is made under most of the perl modules listed. example:

Desc: required for Sessions support, available from the CPAN archive.

I can't find it the CPAN archive. Could anyone clarify what Desc: is and where it can be found?

Thank you.

Discussion and Answer

Sorry for the confusion. "Desc:" stands for "description". In this context it is superfluous, we will take it out for next release.

CPAN is the repository of 3rd party Perl libraries. See HowToInstallCpanModules.

Removed superfluous word: TWikirev:18081 and TWikirev:18082
