SID-00680: EDITTABLE and multi-row/multi-column headers

Status: Unanswered Unanswered TWiki version: 4.1.1 Perl version: 5.10.0
Category: CategoryPlugins Server OS: OpenBSD Last update: 15 years ago

The documentation for EDITTABLE lists a current limitation as not supporting headers which span multiple rows or columns. Unfortunately, that's the circumstance I'd like to use it in--I have a complex header that puts category names on various sets of columns, most of which are "Yes/No" select boxes. When I use EDITTABLE, all of the empty cells in the header rows are treated as editable cells with "Yes/No" select boxes in them, despite the fact that I used "headerislabel=on."

Are there any plans to remove this limitation? All of my header rows contain only multi-column-spanning text with asterisks on each side.

Discussion and Answer

BTW, this seems like a bug, since my table also has a TABLE tag that says headerrows="3", yet EDITTABLE is still putting select boxes into header rows despite headerislabel="on".
