SID-00701: Questions: Tagging, Parsing, Searching and Emailing

Hello

I want to create a user input form where user can enter upto 10000 words. Then I would parse the content of the form based on predefined keywords and internally search for that key words in my attachments that already tagged (include doc/PDF/txt file). The final result would be the search results. Can someone give me a hint how to do it. Here what I need:

  1. Create user input form.
  2. Tag the keywords in my attachments.
  3. Parse the content of the input form for keywords.
  4. Search the keywords in my attachments.
  5. Present the the results.
  6. User can send email from twiki.

thanks for your help.

Discussion and Answer

Hi - can you please elaborate more on your requirement. You seems to be building some interesting application - kind of alert management.

Seems like you are building:

  • Tagging infrastructure (only attachments are tagged). Who is tagging those attachments-anybody or those who upload/own them?. Or do you want to generate tags to attachments based on predefined collection of keywords, the tagging happens automatically.
  • The use of "form input" - why does user has to enter data into form? are you going to capture users activity through say some comment form-while he comments, his interest is actually detected and the emails are sent to the users of same interest - saying some activity happened in there interest area?

Request you to share - some use cases where your application will be used?

Any more help required - kindly request you to catch me on TWiki's IRC -

cheers
