SID-00806: Error saving topic

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: 4.3.2 Perl version: Perl 5.10.0
Category: CategoryVersionControl Server OS: buntu 4.4.1-4ubuntu8 Last update: 15 years ago

I have a newly installed Setup of TWiki and I keep getting the following error while creating a new Topic.

During save of Main.Test an error was found by the version control system. Please notify your TWiki administrator.

/usr/bin/rcs -i -t-none -ko %FILENAME|F% of .../Main/Test.txt,v failed to create history file

Go back in your browser and save your changes locally.

I don't see anything in the apache error logs.

It seems to be more of a permission / ownership issue ASAIK.

Thanks.

Discussion and Answer

Check the permission of your twiki installation directory..

The twiki directories should have "write" access to web server..

Hey! As I mentioned all my permissions were correct. I set them as per the other discussions that people had on this forum. Somehow, I managed to fix this issue by changing Store Implementation from Rcswrap to Rcslite.

Thanks, NishitShah
