SID-00998: How to open a new window when creating a new topic

Status: Answered Answered TWiki version: Perl version:
Category: CategoryRendering Server OS: Last update: 15 years ago

I use this TML to create another topic for a specific work function...

%ICON{newtopic}% [[%SCRIPTURLPATH{edit}%/%WEB%/IoM%DISPLAYTIME{"$ye$mo$day$hours$minutes$seconds"}%?templatetopic=IomTemplate;topicparent=%TOPIC%;t=%SERVERTIME{"$day$hour$min$sec"}%;action=form][Create new IOM]]

(Which is>>> New topic Create new IOM <<<and naturally won't work here w/o the supporting template and form but does give an example of what I'm trying to do...)

I'm now being asked to have this topic created in a new window and not in the existing window.

Using HTML you do the following to open a new window...

<A HREF="http://www.yourdomain.com" TARGET="_blank">Your Text</a>

How would you do the same in TML while creating a new topic?

Discussion and Answer

Simply change the TWiki link into an HTML 'a' tag:

<a href="%SCRIPTURLPATH{edit}%/Support/IoM%DISPLAYTIME{"$ye$mo$day$hours$minutes$seconds"}%?templatetopic=IomTemplate;topicparent=%TOPIC%;t=%SERVERTIME{"$day$hour$min$sec"}%;action=form" target="_mytop">Create new IOM</a>
